Class 2 Driver – Immediate Start Available

We are recruiting an experienced Class 2 Driver in Swadlincote for ongoing, full-time building supplies delivery work.

This is a long-term Category C driving role offering consistent hours, regular routes and reliable weekly earnings. You will complete approximately 3–8 deliveries per day, delivering building supplies to builders' merchants, trade counters, commercial customers and construction sites throughout the region.

The role requires previous experience securing loads using ratchet straps and load restraint equipment. There is minimal handball, making this a strong opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Driver looking for stable, ongoing driving work in Swadlincote and the surrounding Derbyshire area.

Genuine PAYE Pay Rate

All of our advertised pay rates are genuine PAYE rates with no rolled-up holiday pay.

The advertised £16.00 per hour is your genuine basic PAYE rate, with holiday pay accrued separately. We believe in being completely transparent about driver pay so you know exactly what you are earning before accepting the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle on scheduled delivery routes
• Deliver building supplies to builders' merchants, trade locations and construction sites
• Complete approximately 3–8 deliveries per day
• Secure loads correctly using ratchet straps and appropriate load restraint equipment
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Communicate professionally with customers and the transport team
• Follow Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive and road safety regulations

Driver Requirements

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 1 year's Class 2 driving experience
• Ratchet strapping and load securing experience essential
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Maximum 6 penalty points with no major endorsements
• Professional, reliable and safety-focused approach to driving
