Class 1 Driver – Afternoon Trunking

We are recruiting an experienced Class 1 Driver in Coventry for ongoing afternoon trunking work between depots.

This is a straightforward Category C+E driving role offering regular afternoon shifts, consistent work and reliable weekly earnings. As a Class 1 Driver, you will complete scheduled trunking runs between depots with no multi-drop deliveries.

This opportunity is ideal for a Class 1 Driver with at least 6 months' experience who is looking for stable, ongoing afternoon driving work in Coventry and the surrounding West Midlands area.

Genuine PAYE Pay Rate

All of our advertised pay rates are genuine PAYE rates with no rolled-up holiday pay.

The advertised £16.50 per hour is your genuine basic PAYE rate, with holiday pay accrued separately. The rate you see is the rate you earn.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicle on scheduled trunking routes
• Complete depot-to-depot trunking work
• Carry out regular afternoon shifts
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Ensure loads are transported safely and securely
• Complete all required transport paperwork accurately
• Communicate effectively with the transport office
• Follow Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive and road safety regulations

Driver Requirements

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence
• Minimum 6 months' Class 1 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Maximum 6 penalty points with no major endorsements
• Previous trunking experience preferred
• Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach to driving
