Class 1 Drivers Wanted – Join a Leading Haulage Team

Location: Southampton | Work Type: Ad Hoc (Mon–Fri) | Pay: Weekly (PAYE / PAYE Advanced)

Driver Hire Southampton is seeking experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to support one of our top clients, specialising in general haulage deliveries across the South Coast.

Role Overview:

• Drive a Class 1 curtainsider delivering palletised goods
• Complete local deliveries and collections across the South Coast
• Work 10–12 hour days, with start times between 5:00am–7:00am
• No manual handling – pallets are loaded/unloaded by forklift
• Follow planned routes, complete paperwork, and stay in regular contact with the Transport Office

Requirements:

• Full UK Class 1 licence with valid CPC and Digi card
• Minimum of 1 year recent Class 1 driving experience
• Confident operating curtain siders, strapping loads, and handling general haulage
• Excellent communication, timekeeping, and professional attitude
• Own transport to reach the site
• Ability to carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate Tacho records
