HGV Driver Class 1 (C+E)

Blue Recruitment Personnel is recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver (Bulk Tipper) in the Selby area, with an immediate start available, offering an hourly rate starting at £15.00 per hour, depending on shift pattern and experience, plus the opportunity for additional hours at weekends

This is a varied driving role for a professional driver who is confident in handling bulk tipper work and enjoys early starts, steady Monday-to-Friday work, and occasional weekend shifts.
The work includes shunting, farm collections and deliveries, and transporting wheat, grains, and feeds using all-electric HGVs.

The Role: 

You will be responsible for completing daily bulk tipper runs safely and efficiently, supporting agricultural deliveries and collections across the local and wider rural network.
The role requires a reliable driver who can work independently, maintain high standards, and adapt to holiday and sickness cover when needed.

Shift Pattern: 

• Monday to Friday operations, with some weekend work available
• Work to start between 05:00 and 08:00 or a fixed shift from 08:00 to 20:00

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out bulk tipper deliveries and collections of wheat, grains, and feeds.
• Perform shunting duties as required.
• Complete farm collections and deliveries in a safe and timely manner.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Follow all road safety, site safety, and driving regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and paperwork where required.

Requirements:

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Valid CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Good understanding of driver hours and road transport regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• No more than 6 points on licence preferred, subject to client requirements.

Suitable Experience:

This role would suit an experienced HGV driver with a background in agricultural haulage, bulk tipper operations, feed deliveries, or rural collections.
Previous experience handling early-morning starts, live farm environments, and flexible cover work would be highly beneficial.
